Displaced people in Budapest, including refugees, asylum seekers, and those with temporary protection, are invited to join Open Learning Initiative (OLIve). Our academic, skills and artistic courses can expand your horizons, help in school or work, and contribute to successful university or college applications.
Why OLIve?
OLIve Weekend Program is a safe, inclusive learning space where you can learn about a variety of exciting topics in the form of in-depth 12-week courses each Saturday. Free university level education for adults (15y-99y) who had to leave their home from anywhere around the world.

What is OLIve Weekend Program?
OLIve Weekend Program is a 12-week program that offers English language course on three levels, and academic, skills, and arts courses you can choose from. Courses run all semester long between Nov 7 – Feb 13 (except breaks and holidays). You will have three 90-minute lessons between 09:30-15:00.
As always, tuition is free. At this time, due to funding issues, OLIve is not able to offer stipends and financial assistance to its students.
